Genetics
Strain Types Inbred
Genetic Details ES cells targeting (Homologous recombination)
ES Cell-Line Used tamoxifen inducible Cre knocked in to TFF2 locus X Rosa26 stop flox Winnie D3
Mode of Inheritance Semi-dominant
1.  Affected Gene Name: trefoil factor 2 (spasmolytic protein 1)
Chromosome 17
Affected Gene Symbol Tff2
Genetic alteration of gene: To create the TFF2-CreERT2 mouse, we used the tamoxifen-inducible Cre transgene, CreERT2 (as modified by Tyler Jacks, Addgene). A knock in allele was constructed targeting CreERT2 to the last exon of TFF2, immediately downstream of the termination codon. Neo flanked by Frt sites was inserted between intron 3 and 4 for removal by Flp-mediated recombination. These mice crossed to Rosa26Winnie (∆D3): a knock in allele was constructed from the 1245bp Muc2 N-terminal D3 domain from Winnie (∆D3; Heazlewood, 2008) and placed adjacent to a floxed STOP cassette inside ROSA26 homology arms.
Location on chromosome (bp): 31360036-31363256 bp
